LIfe is sour-sweet No one knows how it taste Until you have a bite Though it might be sugary at dawn But at dusk you nearly vomit your heart It‘s a triumphant shout when a child is born But as he grows in the soil of life He began to experienced hatred amidst his people not until the chicken went to roost An attempt to please all later forced life out of him And he eventually cursed the day he left the womb He cried at Messiah till his gentle voice gave up the ghost But no one could help the situation With heavy erosion from his sombre eyes he questioned his heart Why life was so hard on him He was speechless and sick Till sun dried up the strength of his tone In fact, He regretted living here

Many times we find ourselves in a ugly situation and we are impatient to know why God looks on us without immediate solution. Yet our prayer seems unanswered. Then I laughed at myself as I got to know the reasons. As a Christian, we ought to emulate the attitude of Christ in any situation we find ourselves. Praises confused the enemies. Paul and Silas were Jailed on account of the gospel (Acts 16:25-36). They never complain, neither do they felt ashamed, instead they replaced their pains and sorrows with praises because they knew God knew the reason for their arrest. Thereafter, the earth quake and their cuffs were broken, the prison doors were opened. The jailer was so frightened and attempted suicide but they quickly stopped him. Consequently, he and his household was saved and the incident pleases the mind of God. And later, they were set free. Brethren, what I want us to know here is that God want to use their imprisonment (ugly situation) to saved the jailer and his family, this is the reason why Paul and Silas were not just beat alone, but were imprisoned. We are not alive for our own good but for the glory of God. So, I implore us today to emulate the attitude of Pauls and Silas to remain steadfast in faith in God in any situation we find ourselves. Let God have His glory. May God help us all to endure great persecution before us in Jesus' name.
